What Are You WILLING To Do?

Most of us, in our minds, want the best for ourselves. We want to be healthier, we want to be happier, and we want to be more fulfilled. It’s nice to want all of these things, but wanting doesn’t lead to these desires. It’s about DOING!


Action is the true catalyst towards creating change. Don’t like your current job… what are you willing to do about it? Don’t like your current relationship… what are you willing to do about it? Don’t like your current financial situation… what are you willing to do about it? Don’t like your work-life balance… you get the picture.  Hoping, wishing, or complaining won’t change anything, but taking action will.


Any situations that you find yourself in, 10 times out of 10 you are the common denominator. By reflecting deeply on what you want and gaining clarity on what is important, you can decide to move forward. The onus is on you. At the end of the day, you are in control of your action or inaction.


The main question is this: What actions are you willing to take in order to get the results you want? After you realize that you are in control of your destiny, what are you willing to do to make it happen? When will you take action? Why are you taking action? How are you going to stay accountable? All of these answers are inside of you. By understanding your values, goals, tendencies, fears, and resistance (the thing that is stopping you in your tracks), you will have a clear vision of what needs to be done. No more hoping, wishing, or dreaming. Only DOING!


Here is my challenge to you. Sit down in a quiet environment and answer the following questions:


  1. What changes do I need to make?
  2. Why are these changes important to me?
  3. How am I getting in my own way when it comes to these changes?
  4. What am I willing to do to get out of my own way and create these changes?
  5. When am I going to do it (Give a specific date)?


Share your answers with someone you are close to and trust. Ask them to hold you accountable and be open to their feedback. All the changes you want to create are attainable when you are willing to put in the work. It’s on you… and that’s the best part about it.
